"We are far! We are far away from our house. Grandma and Grandpa's house is very far away from our house. And our house is very far away from Grandma and Grandpa's house. It is the same 'far'. "

Z: Does that make Sense (when you are talking and he wants your attention).
Overheard chatter:
If you want to go to the girl's bathroom, you have to take a mommy in there.

Michael to Edwin: Keep your spit in your mouth.
Edwin: You don't keep your spit in your mouth.
Michael: Yes, I do.
Edwin: No you don't. You swallow it, then it goes in you stomach, and you pee in the potty.
Sometimes Donna catches Edwin spitting in the toilet. No doubt it is the short cut.
Edwin put a spoon and fork back to back (like people do to "play" the spoons).
E: It's a FOON.
D: Where did you get that word?
E: It's a FOON for eating food.
E: How do you spell foon?
D: How do YOU spell foon?
E: It starts with an F, and then an O, and then another O
D: Then what?
E: An N
After swimming at the YMCA:
E to Z: We went swimming at the YIMKA.
After shopping at Target. Donna happened to drive past a Staples store.
Z: That's the wrong red circle Target.
D: No, that's Staples, a different store. That's where you buy computers, printers, ink, paper, pens, pencils, paper clips. .
E: and staples
E: and staplers.
Since Edwin is 5, when his new bicycle seat was too high, he said:
Mommy, this is at the 6 level. Put it at the 5 level.

We've been seeing a little mouse in our house occasionally, and we had
already tried setting the "regular" traps overnight with no success,
so we decided to get traps we could leave set 24/7 without worrying
about the boys touching them. We got some "mess free" mousetraps
which you may have seen on TV (or similar) which are set by pressing a
button. So, if they get accidentally hit, they merely unset. We also
got glue traps. Edwin informed Michael recently that the mouse was
going to come in and eat the cheese (peanut butter failed), leave the
snap-trap, and proceed over to the glue trap where it would get stuck.
We would then carefully remove the mouse from the sticky glue, and
wash it, because it would be dirty then.
This is all very amusing, especially since he actually saw the last
dead mouse we caught in August!
(We have not seen hide nor tail of the creature since we began setting traps.)
