We slept out in the tent in the backyard last night.  Edwin had been cranky in the heat (and also because I accidentally consumed too much caffeine), but once we were ready to zonk out in the tent, he was like, "Whoooa, what is this?!" and he had these big curious open eyes.  It certainly didn't hurt that it was like 10 degrees cooler in the yard than in the house!  He woke up in an excellent mood, way before Michael or I were interested in greeting the day.  I slept some more, but Michael couldn't get back to sleep.  Edwin, of course, is now back to sleep, now that Michael and I don't have that option and it's again humid and in the mid-eighties.  (Already!!!  IT's only 9:30!  BLECK!!!)  There are heat warnings for today.  Bleck. Bleck. Bleck.
