All in the timing....
So, I dropped Edwin off at 8:09 and was back by about 10am. Then, I left around 10:40 or so, and Debbie said it was kindof silly to come back before my 12:30 lunch, so I should just come after lunch. Ok. So, I was sitting eating lunch with administrators and thinking, "This is ok... I know what milk letdown feels like and I'm doing fine now and I think I'll have plenty of time." But just thinking that was kindof at the wrong moment, and around 1:06 or so I get this tingly feeling and look down and note a small spot on my shirt. Just a small one. Ok, so I excuse myself and run downstairs to the restroom and by the time I arrive, I have this spot about 2" in diameter. At least then I had a dryer in that bathroom which was useful for drying the spot! You know, those useless hand dryers that don't actually do anything except convince you to dry your hands on your pants? But it was a fancy restroom w/towels *AND* dryers. :) So, I hand expressed just enough to relieve the pressure (there was a private stall w/a sink, which is common on my campus) and cleaned up and went back for about 5 more minutes of lunch. By 1:25 I was at Debbie's. Carol was there. I heard Edwin crying as I was arriving. Carol had just finished warming up frozen milk and was attempting to feed Edwin. Apparently he'd started crying about 1:03. What timing! Within minutes, even out of sight of each other, Edwin's body and mine were in sync. How totally cool is that? It's nice to know they were so prompt in getting to him. (About as fast as it would have been at home if we'd had to use frozen!)
