Wow. Yesterday was sooo busy! Edwin held up wonderfully! I sometimes think he's TOO accomodating. :) Either that or he's more like me than I give him credit for! We slept in a long time
this morning, and he's sleeping again! (After a nice bath and meal.)

First, we woke up at 7:30 to get to the baby research place at 9. Then, at 11, we were back down the hill at 11 for coffee and lunch with baby Evan (his 'twin') and baby Liaden. Michael was the only dad this time. Then, at 2, we were back up the hill to see Michael's advisor, and after that, we went swimming again! We just couldn't resist, because it was a million degrees again today (low 90's but it feels like low 100's because of the humidity). Of the three times we've gone, this time was the best so far! He had fun!!! After this, we came home for only about 45 minutes before leaving to (drive this time) back up the hill for a geek-movie in the math lounge. Some grad students were playing "Fermat's Last Tango". I was impressed. It was pretty well done, except for the violins who were thankfully drowned out by the accordion. (Yeah, the violins were *that* bad!)

The amazing part was that poor Edwin was sooooo exhausted, but couldn't sleep, and he didn't cry about this fact. It took me awhile to catch on (I'm still slow at this because I'm kindof new at this mom thing...) but he was really really really tired. He nursed on one side until it became annoying to me, so probably over half an hour. Then, we did that again on the other side. Finally, I realized he wasn't hungry. He was just trying to comfort himself. The music wasn't too loud (two external speakers on someone's laptop), but he's like me with sounds. He usually can't tune them out. So, poor kid was awake all this time and unable to fall asleep. I finally went out into the hall where it was dead silent. I sat down in this cozy carpeted corner and just held him and he zonked out immediately. I could've easily done that an hour before and then brought him into the movie asleep. What a sweet baby we have!
