I attempted to get Edwin's pictures taken at Sears. This was a total waste of time and money. Poor guy. Maybe he had an upset tummy? Maybe he was just overtired? I'm not sure. But, because of some totally stupid rules (paradoxical counterproductivity strikes again!) I can't buy even the shots we took today, because we didn't manage to get through an entire sitting. They have to get a minimum of 6 shots, and the photographers get 'graded' on these ridiculous criteria that are not necessarily in line with what the parents want out of the photographs. So, they have to take a variety of poses and a variety of facial expressions and they have to have some 'contact' ones (baby touching parent in some way) and it's just so dumb! I only got one decent picture of him anyhow. These are not his best smiles. I TOLD the photographers point blank that they were making too much noise, so let's try to be quiet, (He was totally overstimulated!) and we got ONE good picture! They said, "Oh, now we know what works! We have to be Quiet!". But
they then proceeded to be noisy the rest of the time and got nowhere. They just tired him out and he wouldn't smile. He was very very patient and has a good attention span, but no smiling per se. And they get graded on that of course... grrr.....
