We were in the shower this morning...thinking we were getting away with something.... b/c we had the monitor on, and in the past, we've always heard him wake up.  He usually whines a little or makes cooing noises.  Nope.  He was up.  He was attempting to destroy the items on our headboard, such as the lamp, the alarm clock, and the book.  Yes, he chewed up a nice book, that was, after all, signed by the author FOR HIM!  So, he was probably thinking, "It's my book and I want to eat it!"  So he did.
