There is this drawer in Donna's office, that opens very
easily.  We keep baby-related things, like toys, diapers,
etc. in it.  Since the handle is right at Edwin-level, he
sometimes likes to try to go over and open it, which
we'd prefer he not do.

So on Tuesday, I placed his jungle toy (which is a large,
flat object) on the floor in front of the drawer.  That way,
when he climbed onto it to pull open the drawer, his
weight would anchor the toy and block the drawer.
It seemed to work -- and he quickly lost interest in
the apparently locked drawer.

However today (on Thursday), he figured out how to
circumvent this admittedly simple scheme.  After finding
that the toy was held down by his weight, he simply
got off it, and pushed it aside.  Of course, the drawer
was free to open!  So I replaced the toy, on the off chance
that this was an accident.  But of course, it was *not*
and accident, and the toy was duly moved again!
This kid is pretty capable!
