Wow, Edwin is really starting to eat! No teeth yet, but he's curious and ready now! Last night, he ate green beans, bits of bread, and soy ice cream (chocolate and peanut butter). Today, he ate zuccinni and eggplant and tried a bit of whole wheat matzo. He had a little bit of tomato too. This is different from what he did just about a month ago or so. He used to not swallow things, just taste them, experience the textures, and spit them back out! Now, he eats stuff we put into his mouth, but he still can't use his opposible thumbs to help him get food into his own mouth. That plus the lack of teeth is what seems to be keeping him from actually eating. So, he's not there yet, but he's making progress! He will enjoy eating bits of our food while we eat, which is good, because I get to eat while he's doing this. By the end of the meal, he wants *me*, which means he's getting tired of eating this 'fake food' and wants his real food!!!
We just put him back in his bouncy seat after about 2 weeks without it, and so far, he's not really bouncing too much, just exploring all the toys in it! He's also exhausted as it's after midnight. His hand control is *much* improved! I hope to weigh him soon, but I'm going to predict he's at least 20 by now....
